  • Rabb Lecture Hall – Boston Public Library Central Branch 700 Boylston Street Boston, MA, 02116 United States (map)

Join Boston Lyric Opera for a musical gathering that brings warmth, light, and connection to the cold winter season. BLO artists bring to life the moving, expressive music of 20th-century American composer Samuel Barber in a vibrant concert and conversation celebrating music's power to transform difficult emotion into beauty. The program also honors Boston's proud legacy of fostering revolutionary American artistry—from Barber's performances and premieres to the city's ongoing role as a hub for musical innovation and creativity. The evening features excerpts from Barber's opera Vanessa, luminous art songs, and an engaging audience Q&A.
